Narrative:

Landed on 34C; cleared at F taxiway to hold short of 34R. Tower called for air carrier xx (not our call sign) to cross 34R; numerous times with increasing volume and urgency and on guard. Attempted to notify tower who we were and where but frequency was too busy. Then an MD80 landed and rolled out long and could not clear at F because there were 2 of us there and another flight had to go around. Finally; after the MD80 crossed in front of us; we were able to let tower know we were not air carrier xx. Cleared across 34R and taxied to gate ok. Asked by ground if we had changed our transponder code after landing and later asked to call tower by phone. Cause; tower stated their ground radar showed us as air carrier xx and that our code was for air carrier xx. Our code on departure was changed about an hour from landing by ATC to the code which supposedly matched air carrier xx code (who had not left the gate yet). We made no other changes to our code. The tower controller was only looking at the ground radar identification and not the note pad which did say air carrier yy according to our conversation with ATC.

Title: Air Carrier landing SEA described a confused communication event with Ground Control when Ground Control was obviouosly trying to communicate with them but repeatedly used the wrong call sign.
