Narrative:
I flew my piper J-3 cub in the pattern at my home airport. Upon landing the aircraft touched down; began its roll-out; as speed bled off it veered left. I over corrected and it turned hard right and ran off of the right side of the runway. The left tire hit a prairie dog hole and bent the left axle.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: As a J3 slowed after landing the pilot over corrected a left drift so the aircraft veered right off the runway where the left wheel hit a prairie dog hole and broke the axle.
