Narrative:
During departure we received an EICAS message of left engine hpsov failure. The QRH had us closing the bleed and turning off the AC pack. We diverted to another airport and the first officer flew a great approach and smooth landing. Overweight inspection and valve change was completed in approximately 1:15 and we continued our flight.
