Narrative:
There have been many [B757-200 aircraft] door slides returned from contract vendor with the [slide] harness assembly shipped with serviceable slides. This has been an issue for some time now and since the harness is supposed to remain with the slide that is installed on aircraft; there might be a potential problem: 1) either the harnesses are removed for cause and not disposed of or; 2) the aircraft maintenance technician (amt) is sending the harness with the removed slide instead of leaving it installed on the aircraft per the maintenance manual (M/M).
