Narrative:
This was the fifth leg of a six leg pairing and we were taking off from a high altitude airport. The temperature all day had been above 95 degrees. Immediately after takeoff; when I placed the gear lever up; we were rewarded with a red gear unsafe light indication on the right main gear. We completed the appropriate checklist and returned to our departure airport.after deplaning all passengers; we were told by the maintenance personnel that the inboard tire on the right main gear was flat. I believe the checklist should be more precise as to what we should do in case of a disagreement light on the landing gear.
