Narrative:
We were on a flight from ind to den. Denver center issued us a clearance to the ramah intersection to hold southeast as published at FL260, with an efc time of 45 minutes from then. We were about 15 minutes from ramah when we got the holding clearance. My intention was to make sure the efc would not be moved up before I informed the passengers. Shortly before arriving at ramah intersection I began my PA to the passengers, explaining where we were holding and why along with our expected arrival time etc. The first officer called maintenance on the company radio to inform them of several mx discrepancies, while I was making my PA. Immediately after my PA was finished and his radio call to mx was over we realized, while I was telling the passengers we were going to hold. I flew right past the holding fix by about 8 miles. I immediately turned back and entered holding. The two major contributing factors to this infraction were, although I was flying, both the first officer and I were distracted, me with the PA to the passengers and him talking to mx. Therefore no one was monitoring me while I was not monitoring or paying close enough attention to flying the airplane. Just as important, was the fact that due to an early departure from ind we both woke up early body time (we're based in denver) after a very restless night. We both knew we were tired and probably less alert than normal. We should have made an extra effort to pay closer attention since we were operating at somewhat less than 100%.

Title: ACR MLG DEVIATED FROM CLRNC ROUTE. FAILED TO ENTER AHD AS CLEARED.
Narrative: WE WERE ON A FLIGHT FROM IND TO DEN. DENVER CENTER ISSUED US A CLRNC TO THE RAMAH INTERSECTION TO HOLD SE AS PUBLISHED AT FL260, WITH AN EFC TIME OF 45 MINUTES FROM THEN. WE WERE ABOUT 15 MINUTES FROM RAMAH WHEN WE GOT THE HOLDING CLRNC. THE F/O CALLED MAINT ON THE COMPANY RADIO TO INFORM THEM OF SEVERAL MX DISCREPANCIES, WHILE I WAS MAKING MY PA. THE TWO MAJOR CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO THIS INFRACTION WERE, ALTHOUGH I WAS FLYING, BOTH THE F/O AND I WERE DISTRACTED, ME WITH THE PA TO THE PASSENGERS AND HIM TALKING TO MX. THEREFORE NO ONE WAS MONITORING ME WHILE I WAS NOT MONITORING OR PAYING CLOSE ENOUGH ATTN TO FLYING THE AIRPLANE. WE SHOULD HAVE MADE AN EXTRA EFFORT TO PAY CLOSER ATTN SINCE WE WERE OPERATING AT SOMEWHAT LESS THAN 100%.
