Narrative:
During taxi-out; aircraft was told to taxi on mike to runway 9L/M2 and hold short of L3. This clearance was acknowledged by both pilots. As we approached this hold short point we were finishing up the PA and the flight attendant called. She indicated that we needed a wheelchair at our destination. The conversation seemed to be slightly longer than normal and so when the first officer returned to the radio the captain inquired if there was something wrong. During relaying this information to the captain; the flight crew missed the hold short of L3. Air traffic control inquired about this and immediately issued a clearance to continue on mike to hold short of 9L at M2. The flight attendant call was a distraction as well as fatigue in this instance.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: An air carrier Flight Attendant called the cockpit during taxi for takeoff requesting a passenger wheel chair at the destination; but the distraction plus fatigue caused a taxi deviation.
