Narrative:
Localizer was armed and intercepted and FMA displayed localizer .5 miles to right of localizer (full-scale loc deflection at about 16 miles out). Then when it drifted over and got on center line; the aircraft jerked and rolled left to finalize a localizer interception - unnecessarily jerky and excessive; especially given the lazy way it over-anticipated the localizer intercept. Terrible stuff from thales. Thales needs to be told by airbus to fix this box; or we need to get honeywell.
