Narrative:

Our takeoff performance message had runway 28 listed on first line for departure. Entered TERPZ2 RNAV SID as part of FMS load. ATIS noted that only runway 4/22 was open; so obtained new performance message and loaded 22 in FMS. Received 'runway 22 not applicable for terpz departure' message; so deleted the departure. After takeoff we were given a radar vector and then told to join the terpz departure. Small amount of cockpit confusion; but captain gave me an initial steer while he entered the remainder of the departure. Continued to mia. With relatively new construction at bwi suspect ATC isn't totally up to speed on all runway 4/22 procedures; especially since I have never seen that runway open.

Title: ATC assigned an air carrier flight crew the TERPZ RNAV SID from BWI and then cleared them for takeoff on Runway 22 for which the TERPZ SID is not applicable. A vector and rapid reprogramming of the FMC after takeoff resolved the problem.
