Narrative:
About xa:30 am; after accomplishing left-hand (left/H) off-wing escape system lube jobcard with my partner; we went and got an inspector to [verify] and sign the jobcard. We were on top of the wing waiting while the inspector who was inspecting the lube under the wing at the main landing gear wheel well. I was informed by my partner to move the slide out for inspection. We did and then put the quick release pin in for the inspector to verify. After the inspector finished inspecting our work and the pin; he and I signed the jobcard about xb:20 am. We went to lunch afterward. During lunch; I thought about our work and [had] doubt about the quick release pin. Did we put the pin in before or after the slide moved out? I told my partner about it after lunch about xc:15 am and we decided to open-up and get the inspector. Sure enough; the release cable was loose. The inspector immediately created a write up.
