Narrative:
After the captain made the prepare for arrival PA I proceeded to disarm the 4L door. I pushed up on the green flap instead of down. I somehow triggered the power assist handle. In a split second; the door handle flew up and I ducked out of the way to avoid getting hit in the head. I immediately called the #1 flight attendant to inform him that the slide had been blown. The operating service manager and ramp manager came on board to meet the flight.
