Narrative:
Tower cleared us on runway 28R to hold for landing rollout traffic. The landing traffic missed at least 2 exits, delaying our clearance for takeoff. Tower had to then send an aircraft around from short final. The go around aircraft went straight ahead so tower asked us if we could change our SID from a san francisco 3 to a shoreline 8. We said we could, so he cleared us for takeoff. All this took time! During our takeoff roll tower told us to abort!! We rejected at 100 KTS. We subsequently discovered that another aircraft went around and tower stopped us to prevent a conflict. This was the classic situation of too much going on at once, and when one guy takes too long, all hell breaks loose. Suggestions: have more sep between takeoffs and lndgs. Don't clear an aircraft on to hold with a double conflict, ie, landing and landing roll traffic. Don't change a clearance and/or a SID for an aircraft on the runway. Especially if you want that aircraft to takeoff quickly.

Title: TWR REQUEST TO ABORT TKOF.
Narrative: TWR CLRED US ON RWY 28R TO HOLD FOR LNDG ROLLOUT TFC. THE LNDG TFC MISSED AT LEAST 2 EXITS, DELAYING OUR CLRNC FOR TKOF. TWR HAD TO THEN SEND AN ACFT AROUND FROM SHORT FINAL. THE GO AROUND ACFT WENT STRAIGHT AHEAD SO TWR ASKED US IF WE COULD CHANGE OUR SID FROM A SAN FRANCISCO 3 TO A SHORELINE 8. WE SAID WE COULD, SO HE CLRED US FOR TKOF. ALL THIS TOOK TIME! DURING OUR TKOF ROLL TWR TOLD US TO ABORT!! WE REJECTED AT 100 KTS. WE SUBSEQUENTLY DISCOVERED THAT ANOTHER ACFT WENT AROUND AND TWR STOPPED US TO PREVENT A CONFLICT. THIS WAS THE CLASSIC SITUATION OF TOO MUCH GOING ON AT ONCE, AND WHEN ONE GUY TAKES TOO LONG, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE. SUGGESTIONS: HAVE MORE SEP BTWN TKOFS AND LNDGS. DON'T CLR AN ACFT ON TO HOLD WITH A DOUBLE CONFLICT, IE, LNDG AND LNDG ROLL TFC. DON'T CHANGE A CLRNC AND/OR A SID FOR AN ACFT ON THE RWY. ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT THAT ACFT TO TKOF QUICKLY.
