Narrative:

During cruise flight at FL320; the crew was alerted by a triple chime; red cas left engine oil low press message and an aural engine oil message. I then reached for the QRH and instructed the pilot flying to advise ATC of the issue and that we needed a lower altitude. We then completed the QRH procedure which led us to shutting down the left engine; and diverting to [nearest suitable airport] where the emergency equipment was waiting. Operations; flight attendants and maintenance were already notified per sops. We landed uneventfully.
