Narrative:
We landed on runway 18R and turned off on E6 high speed turn off. Tower instructed us to pull up on wm and hold short of 18L. We pulled up to and started to hold short of runway 18L at wm. Controller then cleared a commuter jet across runway 18L and to contact ground. I read back full clearance to cross runway 18L. As we began to cross runway 18L the captain looked down the runway and saw a commuter jet in position and holding. Controller then cleared the commuter for takeoff on runway 18L. The captain immediately informed the controller we were crossing the runway. The tower controller then canceled the commuter's takeoff clearance; it appeared; before he started his takeoff roll. Upon crossing the runway we contacted ground and asked for the tower number but there was no other dialog with the controller regarding the event.
