Narrative:

A B757 established on an approach required re-sequencing for converging traffic. The aircraft was in a 4;600 mia/MVA area when I turned him right heading 180 to maintain 2;500. In his turn a 2;700 mia/MVA was also entered; there was VFR aircraft in the vicinity climbing to 3;000. I eventually cleared the aircraft to 3;000 and vectored the aircraft for an ILS approach. I failed to recognize the impending situation sooner. In my effort to resolve it my control actions put the aircraft below minimum altitudes. More diligence is required not only for myself; but when conducting OJT and working with younger controllers and developmentals.
