Narrative:
I was told upon taking the sector that aircraft X was deviating 40 left of the track. The supervisor informed me that aircraft X was intruding in R86. Atop showed the aircraft on the route. Aircraft X was cpdlc; and I demanded a position report via atops. The aircraft X symbol jumped approximately 80 miles to show that he was indeed in R86's airspace. The contract for aircraft reporting their position when deviating could be shortened to show the controller the actual position of the aircraft on a more timely basis.
