Narrative:
I was the pilot flying. The approach was normal with the aircraft configured and on speed early. A normal touchdown in the touchdown zone was made and manual braking commenced. The aircraft remained on centerline and braking seemed to be normal. Approaching intersection bravo I felt and heard a slight 'thump'. The tower and another aircraft on the field confirmed that we had lost the #1 main tire. We cleared the runway and airfield rescue and fire fighters examined the brakes and confirmed that they were not hot. We shut down the engines and were towed to the gate after maintenance arrived at the aircraft and confirmed that it was safe to be towed. The passengers then deplaned normally. I monitored the brake temps after our landing; the temperatures were 140/180/160/200. I checked them again about twenty minutes and they were 150/185/190/200.
