Narrative:
On a visual approach; we got a brakes - automatic brake fault ECAM when the gear handle was lowered. Norm brks and automatic brks showed inoperative on status page. We had the same fault on the same airplane on the previous leg. In that instance; the fault cleared after the gear was cycled; so we tried it. It didn't clear the problem. Altn brks appeared in green on the wheels page; so we continued to landing. The runway was dry. The alternate braking system worked fine. No emergency was declared.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A320 flight crew experiences normal brake failure when the landing gear is extended; as annunciated by the ECAM. The approach is continued to landing with alternate brakes functioning normally. The brake fault ECAM had occurred on the previous leg and maintenance had replaced the BSCU to no avail.
