Narrative:
After leveling off at 1;500 ft; heading north from orl; I turned on the autopilot heading then altitude. A few seconds later I reached down to close cowl flaps and the plane pitched up 10 degrees. After I disconnected the autopilot; tower stated class B [is at] 1;600 ft and asked my full call sign as I was getting the plane under control and descending back to 1;500 ft. I think I may have gotten as high as 2;000 ft and only for a few seconds. I have had an a&P re-rack the autopilot and will make an appointment to have the autopilot checked out as soon as possible.
