Narrative:
As we leveled off at 7;000 we got a right AC bus fail caution light and associated lights for associated systems. As we were very close to our departure airport and in icing conditions we immediately elected to return. We performed all required procedures and executed appropriate checklists and landed without further incident. This aircraft had been written up for the exact same problems 4 times prior to our occurrence; all within past two weeks. Additionally we learned that another aircraft was also on the ground with the exact same problem on its third occurrence of the issue. Proper attention to the defect instead of just cleaning a cannon plug; we have an obvious issue with these AC buses. Let's get with it and fix things right!
