Narrative:

After completing the line up checklist and being cleared onto runway 9; takeoff commenced. Just past about 60 KIAS and passing 80% power the configuration flap warning illuminated and chime sounded. I quickly checked the configuration and it showed 20 flaps and flap handle was in the 20 position. Captain rejected takeoff and configuration flap ceased and configuration ok reappeared. Captain brought throttle back up through 80% throttle position to double-check the symptoms and the configuration flap indications reappeared. After clearing runway the configuration ok was illuminated until parking brake was reset to make an announcement to the passengers. Consultation with maintenance resulted in returning to gate. Maintenance pulled circuit breakers and completed a maintenance checklist. Then engines were run up with no discrepancies. Flight continued uneventfully.
