Narrative:
We were dispatched with an MEL item that said aft cargo door status message may be displayed and under attention flight crew; it said if config door EICAS should appear further operations is prohibited. I aborted the takeoff at about 50 KTS after the EICAS config door and master caution light and horn came on. Returned to the gate and mechanics unable to fix in next 4 hours so flight canceled.
