Narrative:
Altitude excursion 400' in climb. I contribute this excursion to the lack of flight deck standardization and the use of crews flying medium large transport series a and B aircraft. The pilot duties in this common type are at opp ends of the spectrum. One aircraft is 1950's technology, the other '80's. In one aircraft the pilot is the physical manipulator of the controls, the other he is a flight manager. Crews should not intermix flying with the disparity of these 2 aircraft.
