Narrative:
In skirting under the edge of the msp TCA, we passed over the flying cloud airport without communicating with the tower. There was no incident, as there was little activity. While we recognized that there was an airport (beacon) a look at the sectional chart showed no communications box containing tower frequencies, ATIS, etc that are usually associated with a controled field. Subsequently, I have learned that recent sectional charts have omitted this information to declutter charts in the vicinity of a TCA. However, this important bit of information doesn't seem to be called out on the chart. I recommend that this information on controled airports be returned to the sectional chart or that its omission be prominently noted.
