Narrative:

On final approach the nose gear did not extend and we got the red gear unsafe light of the nose gear. We informed ATC and tried to inform dispatch but were unable due to low altitude. We then ran the appropriate emergency/abnormal checklist and were able to manually release the nose gear and landed with three green gear lights. An emergency was not declared but the ATC asked for souls on board and fuel remaining. The flight was also met with fire trucks on arrival. The flight attendant was notified during the event and the passengers were deplaned normally.
