Narrative:
While en route at FL430; approximately 45 minutes into the flight; we received an amber 'rt windshield heat inoperative' cas message. This was followed shortly thereafter with a 'lt windshield heat inoperative' message. My partner noticed some flashing of sparks in his windshield (right); then a few seconds later it shattered. We complied with the appropriate checklists and declared an emergency. I then advised the company and the passengers of the situation; and that we were diverting. We landed uneventfully.
