Narrative:

I, the pilot of small aircraft X, shortly after announcing that I was final for runway 27 at weld county airport, heard other pilots telling the #2 on final to go around and get out of there. Not being able to find an aircraft in front of me, I was reasonably sure I was not the aircraft they were talking to. This aircraft did not seem to be responding to the calls which were becoming more urgent. I decided not to chance a go around myself as I figured the aircraft might be above and behind me and therefore might worsen the situation. Just before T/D I saw the other plane fly just over and to the right, apparently just then going around. I never did hear a response over the radio from the other aircraft, not even when the plane did go around. I do not know how close the plane had gotten, but when I did see the other aircraft going around they were not much more than 75' above my plane and to the right. Supplemental information from acn 98901: small aircraft Y observed as #2 on short final overtaking small aircraft X. Small aircraft Y appeared to be unaware of the small aircraft X ahead. Radio call made in the blind to aircraft on 122.8 for aircraft #2 to go around, but no response observed. Second radio call made as #2 aircraft advanced to approximately 2 fuselage lengths behind lead aircraft stating to the effect, 'get out of there, you damned fool.' small aircraft Y executed a missed approach by commencing a right climbing turn.

Title: CLOSE PROX 2 GA-SMA ACFT IN TRAFFIC AT GXY. INCIDENT REPORTED BY LEAD ACFT AND INSTRUCTOR IN THIRD ACFT WHO GAVE A TRAFFIC ADVISORY.

Narrative: I, THE PLT OF SMA X, SHORTLY AFTER ANNOUNCING THAT I WAS FINAL FOR RWY 27 AT WELD COUNTY ARPT, HEARD OTHER PLTS TELLING THE #2 ON FINAL TO GO AROUND AND GET OUT OF THERE. NOT BEING ABLE TO FIND AN ACFT IN FRONT OF ME, I WAS REASONABLY SURE I WAS NOT THE ACFT THEY WERE TALKING TO. THIS ACFT DID NOT SEEM TO BE RESPONDING TO THE CALLS WHICH WERE BECOMING MORE URGENT. I DECIDED NOT TO CHANCE A GO AROUND MYSELF AS I FIGURED THE ACFT MIGHT BE ABOVE AND BEHIND ME AND THEREFORE MIGHT WORSEN THE SITUATION. JUST BEFORE T/D I SAW THE OTHER PLANE FLY JUST OVER AND TO THE RIGHT, APPARENTLY JUST THEN GOING AROUND. I NEVER DID HEAR A RESPONSE OVER THE RADIO FROM THE OTHER ACFT, NOT EVEN WHEN THE PLANE DID GO AROUND. I DO NOT KNOW HOW CLOSE THE PLANE HAD GOTTEN, BUT WHEN I DID SEE THE OTHER ACFT GOING AROUND THEY WERE NOT MUCH MORE THAN 75' ABOVE MY PLANE AND TO THE RIGHT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 98901: SMA Y OBSERVED AS #2 ON SHORT FINAL OVERTAKING SMA X. SMA Y APPEARED TO BE UNAWARE OF THE SMA X AHEAD. RADIO CALL MADE IN THE BLIND TO ACFT ON 122.8 FOR ACFT #2 TO GO AROUND, BUT NO RESPONSE OBSERVED. SECOND RADIO CALL MADE AS #2 ACFT ADVANCED TO APPROX 2 FUSELAGE LENGTHS BEHIND LEAD ACFT STATING TO THE EFFECT, 'GET OUT OF THERE, YOU DAMNED FOOL.' SMA Y EXECUTED A MISSED APCH BY COMMENCING A RIGHT CLBING TURN.
