Narrative:
At gate and was advised by maintenance of brake change in progress. Mechanic advised flight crew very clearly about not using hydraulics. However; I really feel that for their safety a placard should have been placed in cockpit over hydraulics panel to ensure we didn't activate any pumps. I'm not picking on guys--they were very conscientious; but I am afraid for their safety and something that may inadvertently cause some harm.
