Narrative:

Cleared for takeoff on runway 14 at pit with instructions to turn left to a heading of 090 degrees. We proceeded to do so rotating and climbing out at intersection microphone. After rotation I noted, ahead and to my left, an aircraft at one of the hold lines of runway 14. Being that it was night, and not being quite sure if the aircraft was at intersection V or P, but noticing that he was proceeding to cross runway as we climbed out. My airspeed was about 95 KTS so as I noted that he definitely was crossing runway 14 I immediately pitched up to vx = 89 believing that we were in a safe enough position to do so with the distance between us and the climb capacity of our aircraft. I deleted not to abort and land due to the following reasons: a) we had already rotated and were climbing out at a good speed. B) the distanct between us and the other aircraft, especially at night, seemed much too short to abort, land and stop in the given distance safely. We climbed with no difficulty and asked the tower what went wrong. They told us to fly runway heading. They then asked us if we had any problems with the incursion and I stated no. The tower then told us to turn left 090 degrees and contact departure control.

Title: CLOSE PROX ACR-LTT ON ICB AND ACR-LGT TAXIING ACROSS TKOF RWY.

Narrative: CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 14 AT PIT WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO TURN LEFT TO A HDG OF 090 DEGS. WE PROCEEDED TO DO SO ROTATING AND CLBING OUT AT INTXN MIC. AFTER ROTATION I NOTED, AHEAD AND TO MY LEFT, AN ACFT AT ONE OF THE HOLD LINES OF RWY 14. BEING THAT IT WAS NIGHT, AND NOT BEING QUITE SURE IF THE ACFT WAS AT INTXN V OR P, BUT NOTICING THAT HE WAS PROCEEDING TO CROSS RWY AS WE CLBED OUT. MY AIRSPD WAS ABOUT 95 KTS SO AS I NOTED THAT HE DEFINITELY WAS XING RWY 14 I IMMEDIATELY PITCHED UP TO VX = 89 BELIEVING THAT WE WERE IN A SAFE ENOUGH POS TO DO SO WITH THE DISTANCE BTWN US AND THE CLB CAPACITY OF OUR ACFT. I DELETED NOT TO ABORT AND LAND DUE TO THE FOLLOWING REASONS: A) WE HAD ALREADY ROTATED AND WERE CLBING OUT AT A GOOD SPD. B) THE DISTANCT BTWN US AND THE OTHER ACFT, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT, SEEMED MUCH TOO SHORT TO ABORT, LAND AND STOP IN THE GIVEN DISTANCE SAFELY. WE CLBED WITH NO DIFFICULTY AND ASKED THE TWR WHAT WENT WRONG. THEY TOLD US TO FLY RWY HDG. THEY THEN ASKED US IF WE HAD ANY PROBS WITH THE INCURSION AND I STATED NO. THE TWR THEN TOLD US TO TURN LEFT 090 DEGS AND CONTACT DEP CTL.
