Narrative:
While installing the monthly navigation data update; the wrong aircraft type was installed; [that is] md-11 database [loaded] in a B-757 aircraft. I was using a new type 409 data bus loader that was formatted slightly different and failed to notice the wrong aircraft type load was installed. I only checked the current data date; but failed to notice the fleet type difference. Wrong navigation data installed in FMS.
