Narrative:
We landed 16R. Taxi in on wb. Ground control told us to taxi north on G and enter ramp on cs. While eastbound on wb; a southbound jet on foxtrot encroached into my path and I stopped (aggressively) my aircraft. I did not hear ground tell him to hold short; nor was I given instructions to give way to him. I had (optimistically) believed that since I was ahead and would cross the intersection prior to him that he would have given way; or had been given that without me hearing it. (Having just changed from tower to ground shortly prior.) I now believe ground missed the conflict and only the action of both crews prevented further conflict.
