Narrative:
Captain's microphone key wire shorted out causing both VHF radios to fail. Squawked 7700 for 1 minute. Then 7600. Flew as filed in VFR conditions, received steady green light from hnl tower. Landed without incident.

Narrative: CAPT'S MICROPHONE KEY WIRE SHORTED OUT CAUSING BOTH VHF RADIOS TO FAIL. SQUAWKED 7700 FOR 1 MINUTE. THEN 7600. FLEW AS FILED IN VFR CONDITIONS, RECEIVED STEADY GREEN LIGHT FROM HNL TWR. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
