Narrative:
While established on straight in approach to 7L at lax clearance changed to 7R. Second officer called out traffic at 2 O'clock, turning into us. When it became obvious, while in the turn he couldn't see us, I asked tower about our traffic at 3 O'clock. Tower replied he was cleared to 7L and would be passing behind us. Then tower said he was also for 7R and would be doing s-turns for spacing behind us. We initiated diverging course away from the traffic. Then tower cleared us back to 7L and said to prepare for possible go around for widebody transport on the runway, still not rolling for takeoff. Tower repeated instructions before I had time to respond and by 500' we initiated our own go around, just as widebody transport started rolling. The conflicting traffic on 7R initiated a go around at about the same time. (Tower later told us on the phone that their go around call was the first radio contact between tower and our conflicting traffic.) during the go around we were sandwiched between the widebody transport off of 7L and an light transport off of the north complex. Landing east was not the normal flow of traffic. Tower didn't know which call sign belonged to which aircraft in the converging phase.

Title: PARALLEL APCHS IN PROGRESS 7R AND L RESULT IN ACFT MAKING GO AROUND DUE TO ACFT ON TKOF ROLL.
Narrative: WHILE ESTABLISHED ON STRAIGHT IN APCH TO 7L AT LAX CLRNC CHANGED TO 7R. S/O CALLED OUT TFC AT 2 O'CLOCK, TURNING INTO US. WHEN IT BECAME OBVIOUS, WHILE IN THE TURN HE COULDN'T SEE US, I ASKED TWR ABOUT OUR TFC AT 3 O'CLOCK. TWR REPLIED HE WAS CLRED TO 7L AND WOULD BE PASSING BEHIND US. THEN TWR SAID HE WAS ALSO FOR 7R AND WOULD BE DOING S-TURNS FOR SPACING BEHIND US. WE INITIATED DIVERGING COURSE AWAY FROM THE TFC. THEN TWR CLRED US BACK TO 7L AND SAID TO PREPARE FOR POSSIBLE GAR FOR WDB ON THE RWY, STILL NOT ROLLING FOR TKOF. TWR REPEATED INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE I HAD TIME TO RESPOND AND BY 500' WE INITIATED OUR OWN GAR, JUST AS WDB STARTED ROLLING. THE CONFLICTING TFC ON 7R INITIATED A GAR AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME. (TWR LATER TOLD US ON THE PHONE THAT THEIR GO AROUND CALL WAS THE FIRST RADIO CONTACT BTWN TWR AND OUR CONFLICTING TFC.) DURING THE GAR WE WERE SANDWICHED BTWN THE WDB OFF OF 7L AND AN LTT OFF OF THE N COMPLEX. LNDG E WAS NOT THE NORMAL FLOW OF TFC. TWR DIDN'T KNOW WHICH CALL SIGN BELONGED TO WHICH ACFT IN THE CONVERGING PHASE.
