After takeoff got a le flap asym. An emergency was declared for a non normal flap configuration landing. An approach and landing was made at the departure airport. Over weight landing of 6;500 lbs. Was completed with a 150 feet vs or less per/min. No evacuation; no injuries; and no fire.

Title: A B767 EICAS alerted LE FLAP ASYM after takeoff so an emergency was declared and the aircraft returned to the departure airport for an overweight landing.
Narrative: After takeoff got a LE FLAP ASYM. An Emergency was declared for a non normal flap configuration landing. An approach and landing was made at the departure airport. Over weight landing of 6;500 lbs. was completed with a 150 feet VS or less per/min. No evacuation; no injuries; and no fire.
