Narrative:
Aircraft X was a ZZZ departure. I had a trainee who climbed the aircraft through another sector without a point out. I noticed the situation and let it happen so trainee couldn't say they were just about to point it out or that it wasn't going to hit the adjacent sector. There was no other traffic in the vicinity. The aircraft was issued a further climb to 13;000 ft by the jet departure through this area.
