Narrative:
During cruise, both alternators dropped off the line of my small transport for a reason unknown leaving me with only the battery. I was on an IFR flight plan at the time from tul to stephenville, tx. I was at 8000' in marginal VFR WX. The first thing I did was cancel my IFR flight plan and descent to an altitude that would provide me with constant ground contact. I then took up the last course that my LORAN showed toward stephenville, tx. The WX was VFR but not good enough to navigation in. The battery only lasted about 5 mins and then all radios and lights failed. I picked up the rotating beacon of denton, tx's, airport and landed there west/O incident and cancelled my flight plan with ftw FSS. The point of this report is not that I violated any regulations or rules. The point I want to make is the FAA, with their enforcement program, had so programmed me to mistrust them, I would not turn to them for help when I really needed it. Instead I cancelled my flight plan, in an attempt to get as far away from them as possible. Then handle my problems on my own. This was not an obvious decision, but one that came to me under
