Narrative:

Flight departed jfk on the kennedy 2 departure, canarsie climb. Prior to gate pushback, cri VOR was entered into dom base. Direct intercept page, direct to cri. On takeoff a left turn was made at 400' AGL. LNAV selected on FGS panel. The left turn was made inside (south) of the magenta line of the moving map display depicting direct cri. I paralleled the course for approximately 1 mi when I started a slight right turn to get directly on top of the magenta line depicting the course and fly directly to cri VOR. At this time the departure controller called and informed us that we were about to enter lga airspace, that we were northeast of the VOR. Both the captain and my moving map display showed us to be southeast of the VOR and almost on top of it. (The map range was at lowest setting of 10 mi.) I had been in a slight right turn for course correction when the controller informed us of the airspace conflict. He told us to turn right, to a heading that was approximately 330 degrees from our present heading. Into the turn he amended the instructions to turn left to a heading of 180 degrees to exit the lga airspace. I have no idea why the discrepancy between our moving map display and the controller display differed. This is the second NASA report I have filed. Both times now it involved mix-ups with this new technology equipment/advanced cockpit. I'm beginning to think that this new technology is an accident waiting to happen.

Title: ACR WDB DEVIATED FROM CLRNC ROUTE ON SID FROM JFK.

Narrative: FLT DEPARTED JFK ON THE KENNEDY 2 DEP, CANARSIE CLB. PRIOR TO GATE PUSHBACK, CRI VOR WAS ENTERED INTO DOM BASE. DIRECT INTERCEPT PAGE, DIRECT TO CRI. ON TKOF A LEFT TURN WAS MADE AT 400' AGL. LNAV SELECTED ON FGS PANEL. THE LEFT TURN WAS MADE INSIDE (S) OF THE MAGENTA LINE OF THE MOVING MAP DISPLAY DEPICTING DIRECT CRI. I PARALLELED THE COURSE FOR APPROX 1 MI WHEN I STARTED A SLIGHT RIGHT TURN TO GET DIRECTLY ON TOP OF THE MAGENTA LINE DEPICTING THE COURSE AND FLY DIRECTLY TO CRI VOR. AT THIS TIME THE DEP CTLR CALLED AND INFORMED US THAT WE WERE ABOUT TO ENTER LGA AIRSPACE, THAT WE WERE NE OF THE VOR. BOTH THE CAPT AND MY MOVING MAP DISPLAY SHOWED US TO BE SE OF THE VOR AND ALMOST ON TOP OF IT. (THE MAP RANGE WAS AT LOWEST SETTING OF 10 MI.) I HAD BEEN IN A SLIGHT RIGHT TURN FOR COURSE CORRECTION WHEN THE CTLR INFORMED US OF THE AIRSPACE CONFLICT. HE TOLD US TO TURN RIGHT, TO A HDG THAT WAS APPROX 330 DEGS FROM OUR PRESENT HDG. INTO THE TURN HE AMENDED THE INSTRUCTIONS TO TURN LEFT TO A HDG OF 180 DEGS TO EXIT THE LGA AIRSPACE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THE DISCREPANCY BTWN OUR MOVING MAP DISPLAY AND THE CTLR DISPLAY DIFFERED. THIS IS THE SECOND NASA RPT I HAVE FILED. BOTH TIMES NOW IT INVOLVED MIX-UPS WITH THIS NEW TECHNOLOGY EQUIP/ADVANCED COCKPIT. I'M BEGINNING TO THINK THAT THIS NEW TECHNOLOGY IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.
