Narrative:
Departed a training airport for return to home base heading approximately 300 degree at 2000' MSL in level cruise flight. Monitoring but not in contact with regional approach because of their level of activity. An small aircraft closed on our 2 O'clock position at our altitude. The small aircraft was heading approximately sse he appeared to slightly alter his course to the left. Unknown if he ever saw us.

Narrative: DEPARTED A TRAINING ARPT FOR RETURN TO HOME BASE HDG APPROX 300 DEG AT 2000' MSL IN LEVEL CRUISE FLT. MONITORING BUT NOT IN CONTACT WITH REGIONAL APCH BECAUSE OF THEIR LEVEL OF ACTIVITY. AN SMA CLOSED ON OUR 2 O'CLOCK POS AT OUR ALT. THE SMA WAS HDG APPROX SSE HE APPEARED TO SLIGHTLY ALTER HIS COURSE TO THE L. UNKNOWN IF HE EVER SAW US.
