Narrative:
Our company takeoff profile appears to authorize us to exceed 200 KTS in air traffic area. Almost everyone I fly with does this. I believe we are not supposed to do this. I wish the FAA would clarify this. Also on the most modern aircraft the autoplt when put in maximum climb mode starts to pull power off and level aircraft approaching altitude so when ATC says expedite climb the aircraft doesn't really follow instructions. I know the answer is to make aircraft do what you want it to, but the way pilots are being trained now this does not occur. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter stated that many pilots that he had flown with misinterpret the far re: speed rules in an air traffic area. After discussion it was affirmed that we agreed on the interpretation of the applicable ruling. Other pilots will be programmed.

Narrative: OUR COMPANY TKOF PROFILE APPEARS TO AUTHORIZE US TO EXCEED 200 KTS IN ATA. ALMOST EVERYONE I FLY WITH DOES THIS. I BELIEVE WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THIS. I WISH THE FAA WOULD CLARIFY THIS. ALSO ON THE MOST MODERN ACFT THE AUTOPLT WHEN PUT IN MAX CLB MODE STARTS TO PULL PWR OFF AND LEVEL ACFT APCHING ALT SO WHEN ATC SAYS EXPEDITE CLB THE ACFT DOESN'T REALLY FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. I KNOW THE ANSWER IS TO MAKE ACFT DO WHAT YOU WANT IT TO, BUT THE WAY PLTS ARE BEING TRAINED NOW THIS DOES NOT OCCUR. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH REPORTER REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR STATED THAT MANY PLTS THAT HE HAD FLOWN WITH MISINTERPRET THE FAR RE: SPD RULES IN AN ATA. AFTER DISCUSSION IT WAS AFFIRMED THAT WE AGREED ON THE INTERP OF THE APPLICABLE RULING. OTHER PLTS WILL BE PROGRAMMED.
