Narrative:
After flying flight from rdu-bwi, and after all passenger had deplaned, the F/a's were changing aircraft so they also deplaned. The first officer also walked into the terminal bldg. I prepared maps and radios, etc, for our next departure to uca. I then got up to go to the aircraft's bathroom in the rear of the aircraft. As I left the cockpit there was a man standing at the entrance door to the aircraft on the jetway. I should have been suspicious at this point. However, I really needed to go to the restroom. Once in the restroom I did become suspicious. When I had first walked by him I thought he was a through passenger just up walking around. The more I thought about this though, I realized the F/a's would have not left if we had any through passenger. I hurried in the restroom and went out to look for the man. He was gone! It was the FAA, he had stopped the first officer as the first officer was coming back down the jetway to the aircraft. The FAA had walked through a mistakenly left open terminal door and down the jetway after everyone had deplaned. He told my first officer he was going to write up our gate agents. I don't know if he wrote us up.

Title: PERSON WALKING DOWN JETWAY TOWARD AIRPLANE AFTER PASSENGERS AND FA'S HAD DEPARTED. HE WAS NOT CHALLENGED BY FO DEPARTING (HALF WAY UP THE JETWAY) NOR BY THE CAPT AT DOOR OF ACFT.
Narrative: AFTER FLYING FLT FROM RDU-BWI, AND AFTER ALL PAX HAD DEPLANED, THE F/A'S WERE CHANGING ACFT SO THEY ALSO DEPLANED. THE F/O ALSO WALKED INTO THE TERMINAL BLDG. I PREPARED MAPS AND RADIOS, ETC, FOR OUR NEXT DEP TO UCA. I THEN GOT UP TO GO TO THE ACFT'S BATHROOM IN THE REAR OF THE ACFT. AS I LEFT THE COCKPIT THERE WAS A MAN STANDING AT THE ENTRANCE DOOR TO THE ACFT ON THE JETWAY. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUSPICIOUS AT THIS POINT. HOWEVER, I REALLY NEEDED TO GO TO THE RESTROOM. ONCE IN THE RESTROOM I DID BECOME SUSPICIOUS. WHEN I HAD FIRST WALKED BY HIM I THOUGHT HE WAS A THROUGH PAX JUST UP WALKING AROUND. THE MORE I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS THOUGH, I REALIZED THE F/A'S WOULD HAVE NOT LEFT IF WE HAD ANY THROUGH PAX. I HURRIED IN THE RESTROOM AND WENT OUT TO LOOK FOR THE MAN. HE WAS GONE! IT WAS THE FAA, HE HAD STOPPED THE F/O AS THE F/O WAS COMING BACK DOWN THE JETWAY TO THE ACFT. THE FAA HAD WALKED THROUGH A MISTAKENLY LEFT OPEN TERMINAL DOOR AND DOWN THE JETWAY AFTER EVERYONE HAD DEPLANED. HE TOLD MY F/O HE WAS GOING TO WRITE UP OUR GATE AGENTS. I DON'T KNOW IF HE WROTE US UP.
