Narrative:
Aircraft departed jfk en route to lszh via nat track zulu. When reporting our position and time over 49N 30W to shanwick oceanic on HF, the first officer misread the ETA for our next position, 49N 20W on the CDU readout. The ETA for 49N 15W was the time reported as our ETA for 49N 20W. I had been in the cabin checking on the condition of an ill passenger. When I returned we were approaching 2OW and the io caught our ETA mistake when preparing the report form for the next HF position report at 2OW. At the 2OW position report to shanwick we advised them of our ETA error. ATC had not noticed our wrong ETA for 20W. Proper position report made at 20W and for rest of flight. This ETA error would have been avoided if the first officer and io had compared the CDU ETA with the flight plan ETA. This was not done. It is now!
