Narrative:
Climbing out of ewr level at 5000', given clearance to climb to 10000'. At 8900' traffic was called 12 O'clock, 2 mi, 9500'. We stopped at 9200' and saw aircraft as called 300' vertical and between 1 and 1/2 mi horizontal. (On frequency 120.4.) called facility, talked to controller, advised a supervisor had seen the traffic and jumped in to call us. (We continued to bos.)

Narrative: CLBING OUT OF EWR LEVEL AT 5000', GIVEN CLRNC TO CLB TO 10000'. AT 8900' TFC WAS CALLED 12 O'CLOCK, 2 MI, 9500'. WE STOPPED AT 9200' AND SAW ACFT AS CALLED 300' VERT AND BTWN 1 AND 1/2 MI HORIZ. (ON FREQ 120.4.) CALLED FAC, TALKED TO CTLR, ADVISED A SUPVR HAD SEEN THE TFC AND JUMPED IN TO CALL US.
