Narrative:
Approximately 15 mi south of vance center handed us to woodring unicom (enid, ok municipal) for advisories. He advised us that vance tower was closed, but would be open at 1000. Meanwhile, I had been calling the tower 126.2 (5 times) with no answer. Therefore, we went ahead and landed. I switched to ground 125.45 and called again. Ground answered and was very upset. He told us to call him on the phone, and asked if we didn't realize there may have been men or equipment on the runway. We said yes, of course we had looked on approach and seen nothing. The captain went to talk with the tower personnel. He advised me on his return that they heard us calling and made repeated attempts to contact us, finally issuing us a blanket clearance to land. We heard nothing. Upon taxiout we switched to the tower 126.2 and again were unable to communicate with time. Discovered 126.2 was not the tower frequency. Our xeroxed charts contained in the 'charter package' were 3 yrs old and were wrong! Thanks, dispatch. This also caused us a problem when we continued to volk AFB (camp douglas) wisconsin. Bad charts.

Title: UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH TWR. USING OLD CHART WITH WRONG FREQ.
Narrative: APPROX 15 MI S OF VANCE CENTER HANDED US TO WOODRING UNICOM (ENID, OK MUNICIPAL) FOR ADVISORIES. HE ADVISED US THAT VANCE TWR WAS CLOSED, BUT WOULD BE OPEN AT 1000. MEANWHILE, I HAD BEEN CALLING THE TWR 126.2 (5 TIMES) WITH NO ANSWER. THEREFORE, WE WENT AHEAD AND LANDED. I SWITCHED TO GND 125.45 AND CALLED AGAIN. GND ANSWERED AND WAS VERY UPSET. HE TOLD US TO CALL HIM ON THE PHONE, AND ASKED IF WE DIDN'T REALIZE THERE MAY HAVE BEEN MEN OR EQUIP ON THE RWY. WE SAID YES, OF COURSE WE HAD LOOKED ON APCH AND SEEN NOTHING. THE CAPT WENT TO TALK WITH THE TWR PERSONNEL. HE ADVISED ME ON HIS RETURN THAT THEY HEARD US CALLING AND MADE REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT US, FINALLY ISSUING US A BLANKET CLRNC TO LAND. WE HEARD NOTHING. UPON TAXIOUT WE SWITCHED TO THE TWR 126.2 AND AGAIN WERE UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH TIME. DISCOVERED 126.2 WAS NOT THE TWR FREQ. OUR XEROXED CHARTS CONTAINED IN THE 'CHARTER PACKAGE' WERE 3 YRS OLD AND WERE WRONG! THANKS, DISPATCH. THIS ALSO CAUSED US A PROB WHEN WE CONTINUED TO VOLK AFB (CAMP DOUGLAS) WISCONSIN. BAD CHARTS.
