Narrative:
At approximately xx:xx local, ZTL went to darc for operational testing and verification. Clt arrs were entering R29. I was assisted by d-side controller, who was little help as d-side functions are tied off. At approximately xx:xx local atx X entered my sector. I encountered problems tracking the aircraft in darc mode. Several mins later my scope failed. I worked aircraft off the next scope. After my scope was replaced, I tried to transition back and had trouble. The supervisor was behind me and didn't get me a tracker. Atx X apparently dropped off my scope while I was attempting to separate inbnds, track aircraft and make handoffs. I told d-side to hand off atx X and he either didn't, or was too lost. Sector R47 called with radar contact on atx X inside their airspace. I informed the supervisor of occurrence and switched the aircraft, then attempted to regain control of sector and run inbnds. I was overloaded west/O adequate help.

Title: ACFT PENETRATED ADJACENT AIRSPACE WITHOUT HANDOFF.
Narrative: AT APPROX XX:XX LCL, ZTL WENT TO DARC FOR OPERATIONAL TESTING AND VERIFICATION. CLT ARRS WERE ENTERING R29. I WAS ASSISTED BY D-SIDE CTLR, WHO WAS LITTLE HELP AS D-SIDE FUNCTIONS ARE TIED OFF. AT APPROX XX:XX LCL ATX X ENTERED MY SECTOR. I ENCOUNTERED PROBS TRACKING THE ACFT IN DARC MODE. SEVERAL MINS LATER MY SCOPE FAILED. I WORKED ACFT OFF THE NEXT SCOPE. AFTER MY SCOPE WAS REPLACED, I TRIED TO TRANSITION BACK AND HAD TROUBLE. THE SUPVR WAS BEHIND ME AND DIDN'T GET ME A TRACKER. ATX X APPARENTLY DROPPED OFF MY SCOPE WHILE I WAS ATTEMPTING TO SEPARATE INBNDS, TRACK ACFT AND MAKE HDOFS. I TOLD D-SIDE TO HAND OFF ATX X AND HE EITHER DIDN'T, OR WAS TOO LOST. SECTOR R47 CALLED WITH RADAR CONTACT ON ATX X INSIDE THEIR AIRSPACE. I INFORMED THE SUPVR OF OCCURRENCE AND SWITCHED THE ACFT, THEN ATTEMPTED TO REGAIN CTL OF SECTOR AND RUN INBNDS. I WAS OVERLOADED W/O ADEQUATE HELP.
