Narrative:

Cleared to descend RIIVR2 arrival and cleared for the ILS 24R approach at lax. [We] received erroneous localizer indication on mfd (indicated on localizer course) with no indication on pfd. We were on a heading of 240; ATC instructed us to turn to a 260 heading to join the [runway] 24R localizer and we complied. ATC asked that we confirm the localizer frequency and we did. ATC turned us an additional 10 degrees and we used the sdu only for localizer and glide slope guidance in VMC conditions. The event went with no disruption and nothing was mentioned from ATC. It's unclear why the ILS course deviation was not displayed on the pfd.
