Narrative:

During a training session conducting multiple apches at denton municipal, we small aircraft X, heard small aircraft Y (a twin engine), call on a 45 for downwind runway 17 after we had passed and called procedure turn inbound for ILS 17. We then passed and called final approach fix inbound on unicom, and the small aircraft Y had once again called on downwind runway 12. At this point I called the small aircraft Y on unicom frequency and advised him that we were on a 3 mi final. He advised that he would look for us. We had on strobes, beacon and landing lights. I could not find him visually and assumed that he had fallen in behind us in the pattern. On a 1 mi final the small aircraft Y passed over the top of us at about 50' in an unstable s-turning final approach and landed while we executed a missed approach. This was a case of high wing, low wing blindness, coupled with a lack of sound airmanship on the part of the small aircraft Y pilot. We were lower and on final and had the unquestionable right of way.

Title: LIGHT SINGLE ENGINE ACFT CONDUCTING INSTRUMENT TRAINING AT AN UNCONTROLLED ARPT HAS A NEAR MISS WITH A LIGHT TWIN THAT IS NOT USING STANDARD AND SAFE PROC.

Narrative: DURING A TRAINING SESSION CONDUCTING MULTIPLE APCHES AT DENTON MUNI, WE SMA X, HEARD SMA Y (A TWIN ENGINE), CALL ON A 45 FOR DOWNWIND RWY 17 AFTER WE HAD PASSED AND CALLED PROC TURN INBND FOR ILS 17. WE THEN PASSED AND CALLED FINAL APCH FIX INBND ON UNICOM, AND THE SMA Y HAD ONCE AGAIN CALLED ON DOWNWIND RWY 12. AT THIS POINT I CALLED THE SMA Y ON UNICOM FREQ AND ADVISED HIM THAT WE WERE ON A 3 MI FINAL. HE ADVISED THAT HE WOULD LOOK FOR US. WE HAD ON STROBES, BEACON AND LNDG LIGHTS. I COULD NOT FIND HIM VISUALLY AND ASSUMED THAT HE HAD FALLEN IN BEHIND US IN THE PATTERN. ON A 1 MI FINAL THE SMA Y PASSED OVER THE TOP OF US AT ABOUT 50' IN AN UNSTABLE S-TURNING FINAL APCH AND LANDED WHILE WE EXECUTED A MISSED APCH. THIS WAS A CASE OF HIGH WING, LOW WING BLINDNESS, COUPLED WITH A LACK OF SOUND AIRMANSHIP ON THE PART OF THE SMA Y PLT. WE WERE LOWER AND ON FINAL AND HAD THE UNQUESTIONABLE RIGHT OF WAY.
