Narrative:

Guideman is required for taxiing into gate. This guideman placed himself behind jet bridge, sitting with feet up, with wands in rear pocket. His lazy wandering to centerline and slow preparation forced me to stop aircraft short of gate awaiting him. This stop and subsequent start endangers passenger who may not observe seat belt sign, and jet blast endangers those behind aircraft.
