Narrative:
Smelled electrical fumes in cockpit. Sent first officer to galley to investigate, and he reported smoke coming from a placarded coffee maker (the coffee maker was inoperative but F/a's were using it for hot water). Opened circuit breakers in galley and shut off galley switch in cockpit. The bulkhead immediately aft of first officer seat was very hot to touch and elected to make a descent and divert to cle in the event there was an actual fire in the galley.
