Narrative:
Our medium large transport flight on an ILS approach to runway 29 was cleared to land, and inside the marker was advised, 'keep up the speed traffic behind you 100 KTS faster'. My reply was 'you better slow him down we are at 130 KTS' on final approach. The tower controller sent us around. When I questioned the supervisor once we landed, he said that he was told by the controller that we were the safest aircraft to send around. I firmly disagree, there wasn't an aircraft in front of us only one behind, that was faster. We not only had the right-of-way but were clearly placed in a hazardous condition, we were in a landing confign and traffic behind could not have been. The controller clearly was out to punish me for my comments to slow him down.
