Narrative:
Upon landing and rollout on runway 07 at marathon, fl (mth), captain slowed to almost a complete stop and initiated a turn off onto next to the last taxiway exit. As he completed the turn. I warned the captain of a runway light which is situated in the center of the exit. He said he did not see it then, nor had he ever seen it before. In any event, he proceeded slowly and we believed that we would clear it. We heard a dull thud and we thought it was the nose gear brushing the light. When we shut down at the gate, we realized what had happened. This light is a hazard. It should be a flush mount type.

Title: SMT TURNING OFF RWY AT CENTER TXWY STRUCK RWY LIGHT.
Narrative: UPON LNDG AND ROLLOUT ON RWY 07 AT MARATHON, FL (MTH), CAPT SLOWED TO ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP AND INITIATED A TURN OFF ONTO NEXT TO THE LAST TXWY EXIT. AS HE COMPLETED THE TURN. I WARNED THE CAPT OF A RWY LIGHT WHICH IS SITUATED IN THE CENTER OF THE EXIT. HE SAID HE DID NOT SEE IT THEN, NOR HAD HE EVER SEEN IT BEFORE. IN ANY EVENT, HE PROCEEDED SLOWLY AND WE BELIEVED THAT WE WOULD CLEAR IT. WE HEARD A DULL THUD AND WE THOUGHT IT WAS THE NOSE GEAR BRUSHING THE LIGHT. WHEN WE SHUT DOWN AT THE GATE, WE REALIZED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. THIS LIGHT IS A HAZARD. IT SHOULD BE A FLUSH MOUNT TYPE.
